HOCKLEY METHODISTS’ INACTIVE RAMBLERS’ ASSOCIATION

Please put these dates in your diary – the walks are all fairly easy and most are very near home. Anybody and everybody are welcome on our walks and the going is suitable for all ages and children unless otherwise stated!

Sunday 1st August
This will be a local walk around Hockley and/or Hawkwell, starting at 2.00 pm and will be followed by a barbeque.

Monday 30th August (Bank holday)
A walk around Heybridge Basin, which will include a pub lunch and a boat trip.

Sunday 19th September
A visit to Chipping Ongar and the Log Church. This is a short walk passing the oldest log church in the world. We will be leaving the church car park at 2.00 pm.

Dont forget - sturdy walking shoes (not 'fashionable' trainers) or boots, plus waterproofs and something warm to wear if the weather calls for it. Always bring something to drink. E-mail mumic@pregnall.freeserve.co.uk if you want furthur details of any of these walks.

Open Gardens

The church has organised an Open Gardens event. The following gardens will be open on Sunday 25th Jul;y 2010 1.00-5.00 pm.

3 Woodlands Road. 21 Woodlands Road. 20 Willow Walk. 2 Fountain Lane. 72 Folly Lane. and
70 Main Road.

Admission to all 6 gardens is £3.00 (Children free) Proceeds to Peaceful Place and Church Funds.
Programmes are available at all the gardens on the day or contact lindafaywilliams@yahoo.co.uk
Plants and refreshments available at some gardens.
